Consecration Sunday 2013
Consecration Sunday is November 3, 2013. Our Guest Leader this year is the Rev. Bob Burkhart, a highly regarded and very active retired pastor of the Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church. For many years, Rev. Burkhart was the pastor of Central United Methodist Church in Skokie. He currently serves as the chair of the Conference Board of Trustees, and he works as church relations director for the Bethany Methodist communities. A train enthusiast, Bob also volunteers as a docent for the National Park Service on Amtrak. The Leadership Dinner (by invitation) will be Sunday, October 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Wilmette Golf Club Restaurant in Lombard. Rev. Burkhart will give a short inspirational message.
